Dividend Income Update – Mar 2014

Its time for me to post dividend income earned from all of my 3 portfolios: DRIP, HID1 and HID2. This month was fantastic as compared to last month of Feb, almost 7 times but March is also the month when many securities distribute their quarterly dividends.

Dividends Income – March 2014

DRIP:
COP: $16.09
MCD: $12.64

HID1:
BP: $11.40
COP: $10.35
PTY: $6.50
REM: $25.34

HID2:
VYM: $6.88
VNQ: $6.90
VPU: $8.86
DVY: $9.12

Total Dividend: $114.08

Notice that REM: iShares Mortgage Real Estate ETF significantly contributed to my dividend income , almost 20% though the portfolio value was only 4%, which is awesome. It only demonstrates the power of dividend income and once they start snow balling, they become an ever-growing snow ball rolling down the downhill with increasing speed. We just need to be patient and wait for snow-ball effect to kick on, my friends, but, kick it will!

Full Disclosure: Long in all above mentioned securities.

Thanks for reading.
