I like to own securities of Blue chip Aristocrats (companies with 25+ yrs of growing earnings) and Dividend Champions. Once the earned passive dividend income covers all my expenses, I will own my time as well.

I’d setup a goal of earning $3500.00 in total passive dividend income this year and so far have received $3070.12. This is 87.41% of target for this year and close to target. The month of Oct was a big one for me and it covered some ground for couple of low months, that I’m glad to take 🙂

Full Disclosure: Long in all above mentioned securities.

How did your Dividend Income come along this month of Oct? Meeting target.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Great results as always. With two more months to go and a big December you should be able to hit your target dividend income for the year. Always inspiring and fun to show the growth of that year over year dividend income.

    1. Hi DivHut,

Absolutely! Its inspiring to be able to grow the passive income where I one day we can look forward to sipping one cup of coffee, without having to worry about working to earn that coffee.

With 2 months remaining, I’m expecting to achieve my target of $3500 this year that I do not need to work.

Thanks for stopping by as always!

  2. Congratulations on your dividend income for October — that’s an impressive number and a great increase over last year’s total. Keep up the good work!

    1. Hi DivGro,

Thank you for warm words. Yeah, this Oct turned out to be much better than I was thinking and I’m happy to take that 🙂 Anytime, scoring over $300 is fantastic and in fact, this month passive income was more than what I had in year 2012. The key is to be consistent and ride the earnings growth.

Thanks for stopping by and appreciate your comments.

    1. Hi IH,

Could not agree more. Getting close to $400 is awesome and I’m pleased with Oct month performance, although, I did not quite hit $400, but, getting close is nice!

  3. Almost $400 is pretty sweet! Certainly a lot better than myself. October was the worst month of the year for us in terms of y-o-y growth. A post sometime this week on all the details.

Great job PIM. Keep up the great work

    1. Hi ADD,

You are posting some of the great numbers there and its just matter for you to catch on Oct. Its what happened to me in past as well: I had several low yield months and once I started diversifying across wide spectrum of sectors, things started to fall in place. I’m sure you next Oct will be great for you.

      Thanks for stopping as always!

    1. Hi Sharon,

It will be fantastic to be achieving the target of $3500 and it’ll greatly help in my path towards FI. With the support of DGI community, its has been an incredible journey so far. The road towards FI is challenging but we need to march on it slowly and consistently and I’m sure we will reach there,
