Monthly Dividend Income – June 2017

Its time for me to post dividend income earned from my portfolios: DRIP, DIP, & RothI enjoy sharing them as these passive dividend income provides me great inspiration and encouragement to keep chugging along and hopefully to the readers.

I again crossed a milestone mark of four digits in total passive dividend Income: $1214.66  to be precise. Although, it was less than Mar quarter and out of park as compared to last Jun. That’s awesome. It only shows the power of Dividend Income engine. I’m that much closer to being  Financially Independent (FI) and living a life that I want to live and enjoy my freedom.

I’d setup a goal of earning $12000.00 in total passive dividend income for this year and received total of $7900.37.

Full Disclosure: Long in all above mentioned securities.

How was your Dividend Income in month of June.

  1. Hi PIM,

you crushed it again – congrats. Your numbers are awesome and they show how it’s done! With Royal Dutch Shell, Total and BP you hold some European oil/ energy stocks. Did you consider maybe other European stocks too? for diversification…

    1. Hi DividendSolutions,

Thank you. I’ve exposure to European companies like you mentioned and Canadian companies. Also, I own GSK, UL and looking to add few more like VOD. Diversification is the only free lunch thats outta there, as they say 🙂

  2. Wow, some very impressive stats you have, and with very solid companies as well. We’ve had a very steady month, but have yet to get everything on the blog.

You mention owning aristrocats with 25+ yrs of growing earnings, which shows in your portfolio. Are you ever considering to buy non-aritstocrats but with steady growth and lots of promise for the future?

    1. Hi Divnomics,

Good to hear that you had a steady month and that’s most important part is having a consistent income and this is the key of becoming FI. Yes, I’m perfectly fine with dividend champions that have a history of paying less than 25 years. From risk perspective, you cannot beat DA and are as safe as it gets.

  3. Another month in the books and another month of solid passive income earned. $12k for the year is well within reach and your portfolios are doing their part generating that income. Looks like oil is doing the heavy lifting for the month along with others spreading out your income stream. Nice job. Keep up the good work!

    1. Hi DivHut,

Yeah, another month in the books and it was a solid month! Could not complain. I think new target for next year can be $1.5K on average and that will be really awesome to achieve it, we’ll see. I think I may need to either reduce some exposure to oil or add few companies to balance out: portfolio construction is always a WIP 🙂

  4. You had a fantastic month. A lot of great companies are paying you dividends. We only have a couple companies in common. I hope in time I will be able to start some positions in some of these other companies.

Your killing it. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi MoreDividends,

Absolutely, it was only few years back when I’d started out with couple of companies and still its a process to review companies and prune/add appropriately. I’m sure you will achieve it before you even know it. Good luck on your journey. Appreciate the kind words.

    1. Hi Chris,

Thank you. At current rate, I hope to achieve the target, unless some companies mow down the dividends really big. With 2nd half still to go, we’ll see.

  5. Great results PIM. You are going to CRUSH this goal during the year. You are well ahead of the 50% mark that you need to be. Keep up the great month and keep on racking up these four digit months.

    1. Hi Bert,

You said it best: I’m so far little ahead of the goal, but, still half of the year is remaining. I’ll be super happy to achieve this round little target of $1K per month this year and kick the sand for closer to $1.5k for next year 🙂
